Like him or not James Haskell (England and Stade Francais) is certainly switched on when it comes to promoting his own brand online.
He’s active in a variety of channels online and really seems to get it. I follow his Twitter feed, which can be a little boring but have to take my hat off to the fact that at least he’s aware of and actually gets it. In fact i’d go so far as to say that even the RFU could take some tips from him on how to engage with your audience online and impove their currently very dry un-engaging site. All Blacks.com is the ulimate lesson for a rugby organisation looking to do this.
Some highlights include…
/ Exclusive video
/ Gallery
/ Partnered Charities
/ Blog – a day in the life of type stuff, i’d imagine good reading partuclary for his younger audeience
He even ranks above wikipedia for his own names showing that’s he’s got his SEO nailed.

...stuff that interests & inspires me. Including; (but not limited to) digital marketing, snowboarding, music, rugby and tech.
Very funny, I wrote this back in August 2009. As you may know James Haskell scored 2 tries in the opening 6 nations rugby match against Wales the other day.
Brian Moore (Commentator) named him “James ‘Brand’ Haskell”, in relation with some of the stuff I’ve mentioned above…twitter, podcasts etc.
As a result of that mention, loads of people viewing must have Google’d it, I’ve had loads of traffic to this page since that mention.
There’s a good example of the offline/online link up these days.
