Like him or not James Haskell (England and Stade Francais) is certainly switched on when it comes to promoting his own brand online. He’s active in a variety of channels online and really seems to get it. I follow his Twitter feed, which can be a little boring but have to take my hat off [...]
Quote of the week:
by chris on 10. Aug, 2009 in Digital Marketing, Sport & Fitness
Found this whilst studying for my IDM course, interesting in that it can be meaningful in so many different areas of my life…in particular in through marketing tactics as well as closed skills for rugby (place kicking) and tricks for snowboarding etc. Probably just as well, given the amount of time I spend watching snowboarding [...]

I also try to write for the company that I work for, so thought I’d point you in the direction of those posts as i’ve been a little bit quiet on here of late. Twattish PR stunt alert? Obama flies Airforce 1 over Manhattan
by chris on 28. Apr, 2009 in Digital Marketing
I’m not sure if this is uber intelligent piece of PR that is a little twattish on Obama’s behalf or a genuine mistake. Obama had airforce 1 fly low over Manhattan rooftops today with a fighter jet in toe so that they could take some pictures of the presidents official star wars style jet. Well [...]

by chris on 29. Mar, 2009 in Digital Marketing
As a digital marketer i’ve always kept an eye on my own SERPS ( ‘Chris Eden’). Much to my disappointment I don’t usually rank first page, there’s apparently some really good laparoscopic radical prostatectomy surgeon that usually dominates At least its a worthy job, probably more useful than my Facebook page!

by Chris Eden on 27. Mar, 2009 in Digital Marketing

China bans YouTube…again
by chris on 25. Mar, 2009 in Digital Marketing
China has blocked YouTube. They have not offered any explanation as to why but its suspected that the main reason is becasue there’s suspicious videos of Tibetans being beaten by the Chinese authorities that they believe to be fake. China has a history of banning media that delivers messages that are politicaly unacceptable.
Social Mention
by Chris Eden on 18. Mar, 2009 in Digital Marketing
A site that allows you to to easily track what people are saying about you, your company, a new product, or any topic across the web’s social media landscape in real-time. I know there’s lots similar, technorati, google alerts etc etc but this is quite nice in that it aggregates it all into one report. [...]
